Review Guidelines

Effective Date: August 16, 2016

We love hearing about your experiences with your healthcare providers. Visitors to our site expect to find unbiased reviews and content about healthcare providers, practices, and hospitals. We are committed to ensuring the integrity of the content our site provides. To this end, we ask that all CareDash users ensure their reviews and posted content are:

Reviews must be written for and about healthcare providers, practices, or hospitals used by you or a family member.

To protect patient identity, our reviews are posted anonymously with only the location of the reviewer (city, state). Users may choose to append a display name. When selecting a display name, please keep in mind that it will be visible to the public. If you do not want to be identified, simply leave the display name blank. Please do not include personal medical information, or other personally identifying information in your display name or your reviews.

Factually Accurate

Please be factually accurate, as you assume responsibility for anything you post. While you are free to express your opinion, do not exaggerate or misrepresent your experience with your healthcare provider, practice, or hospital. CareDash does its best to protect the anonymity of its users, but you are responsible for the accuracy of your review or any content you post.

Reviews are most useful if they include specific descriptions about what you liked and didn’t like about your experience with your healthcare provider. If you are reviewing a practice or hospital, include specific descriptions of what you liked or didn't like about your experience there.

Please make sure your reviews are relevant and appropriate. For example, rants about a healthcare provider’s employment practices, political ideologies, extraordinary circumstances, or other matters that do not address the core of the patient experience are not appropriate.

To keep content fresh for our visitors, we ask that you stick to writing about experiences that occurred within the current calendar year or up to two calendar years prior.

Free of Inappropriate Content

Threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech, and other displays of bigotry are strictly prohibited and will be removed from the CareDash website. To ensure these guidelines are being followed, we may moderate all reviews and content posted on the CareDash website. CareDash reserves the right to remove posted content at any time for any reason or no reason from the CareDash website. We may edit or remove posted content for the following reasons:

  • Appropriateness of content (curse words, racism, SPAM, etc.)
  • Removal or deletion of typos
  • Spellchecking in very obvious cases
  • Redaction of personal information that may expose confidential health care info
  • Deletion of reviews that do not appear to be left by an actual patient (fake reviews, self reviews, etc.)

All of our reviews have been collected by users with CareDash accounts. Any user that opts in by confirming their email address becomes a Trusted Reviewer. Reviews by Trusted Reviewers are labelled accordingly. While CareDash reserves the right to remove posted content, we are under no obligation to do so. Healthcare providers who wish to respond to patient reviews should review our Healthcare Provider Response Guidelines.

CareDash reserves the right to remove a Patient Review or Healthcare Provider Response at any time for any reason or no reason. The Patient Reviews posted on CareDash are individual and contain highly subjective opinions. The opinions expressed in Patient Reviews are those of CareDash users and not of CareDash. We do not endorse any of the opinions expressed in Patient Reviews or in Healthcare Provider Responses. We are not affiliated with any establishment listed or reviewed on our website.
